The town of L'Ampolla
L'Ampolla town follows the seafront. There is a central marina flanked by beautiful sandy beaches.
Along the seafront you'll find a selection of bars, cafes and restaurants serving local and national dishes as well as pizza and other continental favourites. Being so close to the rice fields of the Ebro delta, paella is always a popular dish.

L'Ampolla is the offspring of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and the lively River Ebro. Currents of sea and river, playing with the sand and waves, formed a huge lake, which eventually took the shape of a 'bottle' (Ampolla in Catalan); a name that was then given to the small fishing village that sprang up close to the mouth of this river.
One of the main features of L'Ampolla is the variety of the beaches, unique on the Catalan coast, ranging from sandy beaches with calm shallow waters, ideal for children, to pebbly or sandy beaches surrounded by red-hued cliffs.
